The confluence of the Great Stour
is at Pledge’s Mill which stands at the northern end of the park.
It is thought that there has been a mill on this part of the river
from 1086 (a mill was recorded on this site at the time of the
Doomsday Book). The main features of the park are the pollarded
willows, an important habitat for a range of invertebrate species.

spaces available).
Toilets in Civic Centre or Stour Centre (currently being
refurbished).

The path has no markings to separate cyclists from other users.
