A number of organisations and individuals are working towards establishing a wetland nature park in the Willesborough Dykes. At the moment a lot of surveys are being carried out to record the different species of plants, birds, reptiles etc that can be found there, plus the water levels in the area are being studied.  Also work is being done to try and put in a cycle path through the area, linking Park Farm to the town centre. If this goes ahead it will be first provided public access to the site.  The whole project is a complicated process which should take a few years to complete.
