Camera in the Corridor

A photographic competition open to both adults and children was held in June 2004, the competition encouraged local people to go out into the Green Corridor to capture images from the Local Nature Reserve and the wider Green Corridor. There were three categories, People in the Corridor, Wildlife and Nature and Landscapes.

A photography workshop was held in early May in conjunction with Ashford Quest Photographic Society which was open to members of the public. The workshop provided tips about taking photographs for competitions and presentation of entries.

Local photographer Laura Thomas created a photography trail for the 1st Great Chart Beaver pack to use at Buxford Meadow, the beavers took pictures of a range of wildlife, landscapes and people and submitted their entries for the under 12 category of the competition. Judging took place with the help of two local photography shops, Snappy Snaps and Andrews Photography who also provided prizes.
